Worcestershire Litfest and Fringe 2018
30 November -1
Now eight years old, the festival returns with a week of literary-inspired events around Worcester.
The launch event at The Angel Centre on 10th June sees a competition to choose this year’s Worcestershire Poet Laureate.
On Monday 11th June the Worcester Writers’ Circle and Friends present Short Stories, Sketches and Scurrilous Scribings (Part 2) at the St Swithun’s Institute. Last year’s event has been described as a ‘wild success’ and there’s a promise of more laughter, entertainment and possibly even some enlightenment!
On Tuesday 12th June, poet Suz Winspear and friends host A Night At the Museum at the Museum of Royal Worcester on Severn Street. There are further live performances and social events before the grand finale on Saturday 16th June, when Drummonds Bar hosts an afternoon of flash fiction and poetry.
Tickets can be booked via the Worcester Live Box office on (01905) 611427 and on the festival’s website www.worcslitfest.co.uk
