Worcester Amida Buddhist Group
01 December 2018
2pm until 3pm
at Wayland's Yard, Foregate Street, Worcester
then once a month after that (14th July, 4th August, 15th September, 6th October, 3rd November, 1st December)
Are you looking for a quick and simple practice which will help you to find a daily oasis of peace in your hectic life? Our form of Buddhism is especially suitable for ordinary people with busy lives, and it is coming to Worcester.
All our meetings will include some Buddhist practice including nembutsu (chanting the name of the Buddha) and silent meditation, and a Dharma talk and space for questions.
They are suitable both for people with some experience of Buddhism or other spiritual practices, and for those who know nothing! We'll meet in the lovely space above Wayland's Yard cafe, very close to Foregate Street train station.
After the hour of practice and discussion, we'll have an optional cup of tea & piece of cake in the cafe. The session will be led by Rev. Satyavani, or Satya for short, who runs the Amida Mandala Buddhist Group in Malvern with her husband. Our group is very friendly and inclusive. It makes us happy to welcome new people. If you have any questions email Satya at firstname.lastname@example.org.
If you'd like to come along just turn up and come upstairs before 2pm. We suggest a donation of £5 or whatever you can afford, whether more or less, to go to Amida Trust which is the charity that supports Amida Shu projects (including our project in India). We never want people to feel they can't attend for financial reasons.
