A fascinating and superbly illustrated survey of the history of glass and glass making techniques, including glass made for the Pharaohs, Roman glass and the invention of lead glassblowing, the major glass centres of Venice and Bohemia, the invention of lead glass and the glories of 18th century glass in Britain, the glass geniuses of Victorian England, the international superstars such as Tiffany and Lalique and ending with the contemporary Studio Glass Movement and its star, Dale Chihuly.
