15 January, The Rise & Fall of Worcestershire’s Witley Court - A spectacular royal palace was created by the Earls of Dudley before its fire and ultimate demise. Now cared for by English Heritage, extensive work has been done on restoring the grounds, the gardens and the Perseus and Andromeda fountain. It is now a great place to visit.
22 January, Vesta Tilley – A Victorian Light. Born less than 200 yards from Henry Sandon Hall, Vesta Tilley was one of the greatest stars this country has ever produced. Queen of the music halls in both Britain and America for more than thirty years, she was a truly remarkable woman.
29 January, Malvern’s Memories & Marvels - A Victorian spa town built on its miracle water cure, and with strong Elgar connections, today Malvern houses one of the best theatres in Britain and is still one of the most beautiful, and most visited towns in the West Midlands.
