Amida Worcester is a new monthly Pureland Buddhist group run by Rev. Satyavani upstairs at Wayland’s Yard in the centre of Worcester, a few minutes walk from Worcester Foregate train station.
Our form of Buddhism is especially suitable for those with busy lives, or for those who struggle to live the lives they want to live and who want to make a daily connection with something wholesome and compassionate. It is a Japanese form of Buddhism which is practised all over the world. Read more about Pureland Buddhism here.
The Amida Worcester meetings will include Pureland Buddhist practice including nembutsu and silent sitting, and Dharma talks. They will be suitable for complete beginners as well as for people with more experience. There will be an optional cuppa and bit of cake downstairs in Wayland’s Yard after every meeting.
We suggest a donation of £5 or whatever you can afford, whether more or less. The group is affiliated with the Amida Mandala Buddhist temple in Malvern.
If you’d like to try coming along to a meeting, send an email to firstname.lastname@example.org to reserve your space.
